0079·A reduced rate is not allowed above the value threshold
Tax calculationOccasional
What this means
Some reduced rates exist only for lower-value supplies. Once the value per unit crosses the threshold, the rate is no longer permitted and the standard rate applies instead.
Why it happens
- The reduced rate was applied uniformly without checking the per-unit value.
- The threshold was evaluated against the invoice total rather than per unit.
- A price rise pushed existing lines over the threshold without anyone re-checking.
How to fix it
- 1Evaluate the threshold per unit, not per invoice.
- 2Make rate selection value-dependent where a threshold applies, rather than fixing it on the item.
How Ordyoo handles this
Where a rate carries a value condition, the permitted rate is resolved at pricing time rather than fixed on the catalogue item.
