0007·The sale type selected is not valid for this registration
Product classificationCommon
What this means
Sale types are gated by the business nature and sector on your sales tax profile. A distributor cannot use sale types reserved for manufacturers in particular sectors, and the permitted set is fixed by how you registered — not by what you actually sell.
Why it happens
- The business nature or sector chosen during digital invoicing registration does not reflect the real business.
- A sale type valid for the supplier is not valid for the distributor reselling the same goods.
- Retail-specific sale types were used by a taxpayer not registered as a retailer.
- The taxpayer operates across several activities but registered only one.
How to fix it
- 1Check which scenarios your registered business nature and sector actually permit before building against a sale type.
- 2Where the business spans multiple activities, select all applicable business natures during registration — multiple selections are allowed.
- 3If the registered profile is genuinely wrong, correct it through FBR rather than working around it in the payload.
How Ordyoo handles this
Each tenant's business nature and sector are recorded during onboarding, and Ordyoo restricts the selectable sale types to those the tenant's registration actually permits — which also determines the sandbox scenarios they must pass to obtain a production token.
